~~* Aloha Friday *~~

Welcome to Aloha Friday!!!

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is a day to take it easy
and look forward to the weekend.
I'll ask a simple question for you to answer, nothing that requires a lengthy response.

My question...

Describe the longest road trip you've ever taken!
My answer is:
Although I have been on longer road trips than this particular 8 hours to Los Angeles,
THE.LONGEST road trip I took was following a call
we received from a teammate of our son telling us
he had been hit in the face by a ball from a pitching machine!
Dear hubs and I set out around midnight and drove straight through
to Southern California with barely any words spoken.
We were both so focused on getting to our son's side and making sure that he was alright.
He did receive a broken nose and small fractures around his eye & cheek,
but all has since healed well...

What's your answer??

Longest road trip I ever had was to Danville VA. Google Maps "guessed" wrong... it was MUCH longer than they suggested. So much longer that we stopped and got a hotel for the night. All to see my stepson play a football game. Good thing we left the day before! We all dreaded that ride home!

The longest road trip was driving from Seattle to PA when I moved here - we're going to top that with a road trip for vacation from PA to Seattle and back. 4 days there and 4 days back! We'll repeat the trip out there when we move back next year. :)

Well, I know when I was little my dad drove us from Chicago to Albuquerque, New Mexico, but hubby and I go on vacation every year, and the longest ride I'm going to have to say Williamsburg, Virginia. We had two weeks so we stopped along the way & stayed overnight some place and had some fun.

Oh my! I can only imagine how long that road trip seemed. It is never short when children are involved. Glad that hit wasn't worse than it was. Yikes!

As for me....our longest was on a BUS from Louisiana to Fort Dodge, Iowa. We were delivering some church buses to a church up there and Jason, Hannah (1 at the time), and I set out on a road trip. No air, no radio, no nothing. It was LONG!
