It was a quiet night... and then a birthday!

This Christmas was a first... The first Christmas that our little family was not together ~

We made the best of it; fortunate that we recently spent 10 days in Hawaii together, fortunate that The Fireguy and I spent a couple days in WA to visit our son and his girlfriend and fortunate that we spent Christmas Eve with our daughter and son-in-law.
The kids' ginormous Christmas tree
The kids and their beautiful tree
Lovely illuminated Lincoln home...
The ever popular deep fried turkey!
My bestest daughter and I (love love, love her!)
Our dear son-in-law celebrates his birthday two days after Christmas!! This year he left his twenties behind and joined the dirty thirty club!! Happy Birthday PC ~

Yummy birthday cake!!
And now... a little bit of relaxation while we await the arrival of the new year -

Looks like you spread our your celebrations. I like the picture of you and your daughter. I've never had deep fried turkey. How far does your husband travel to fry turkeys?

It sounds like a wonderful series of family celebrations this year! Oh a Hawaii trip with our kids would be something i would love on my list of traditions! (Hmmm...well, at least every other year...sounds really great, if annually wouldnt work in our budget!)

Last year, my hubby and I went to KY for Christmas and for our daughter's Dec 31st wedding... This year, all of ours came down to Georgia. (Oh! I cannot wait til we have grandbabies to spend Christmas with!)

Blessings & aloha dear friend!

A happy birthday to your son-in-law :o)

Aww, what a bummer! :( I am glad you all got to spend time together in Hawaii, as well as the individual visits with each child... but it still must be tough not to have all of the family together. I'm glad you had such a good holiday though. And I hope you're doing well! :) xoxo.
