I Miss Her Every Single Day

Today marks the 4th anniversary of losing my Mom to cancer.

By the time we learned of her disease we only had six months to deal with the inevitable. Those six months came and went all too soon. One of the hardest things I ever had to do; to stay upbeat and positive for her while preparing to let her go.

Today is a very emotional day, I reflect more on this day of the time that I did spend with her. There is such a special bond between a Mother & a Daughter - one that cannot be explained and runs very deep. There is a definate void without my Mom around.

It amazes me that even after her being gone for four years there are still times when I think about calling her just to talk!! I cannot even begin to tell you how much I miss her...

Mom was very proud of not only her two daughters but of her 4 grandchildren. I am so happy that she was able to see her grandchildren become such awesome young adults. She was able to see all four graduate high school, but missed college graduations - Her chest would have been so puffed with pride she might have burst!!! Unfortunately she also missed the weddings of her two eldest grandchildren, but I know she saw the entire day from the best seat in the house.

So to all you children, don't let a day go by that you don't let your Mom know how much you love her, and Mom's don't ever take a day with your children for granted; because life can change in an instant.

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;

You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;

I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;

You raise me up... To more than I can be

I Love You Mom ~
