A Sense of Accomplishment

I returned home from Washington to find my very first tomato of the season!! It has been so unseasonably cool this summer that my crop is taking forever ~

Anyone else experiencing late crops???

We got one tomato earlier this summer...then that was it. No signs of additional tomato life.

They say the two things money can't buy are true love and home grown tomatoes...you've got a priceless treasure. I'm an avid gardener, but this is my first year for 'food' mixed with the flowers. My tomatoes are finally getting ripe...and they are soooo good.

Yum... homegrown tomatoes... I am envious! :) My parents used to have a huge garden, with so many tomato plants, but unfortunately they let it go due to it being too much work for their busy schedules. It's sunny days like this when I wish I could still pop out and pick some fresh veggies. :)

Hi, Home grown really are better than store bought. I am stopping by all my followers blogs to say hi. I am having a giveaway on my blog if you would like to enter. You can go to Marianne's House of Shopping "Geveaway"

Oddly enough, I have been protecting my little jewel from being eaten!! I may have to give in in an effort to enjoy the 'fruits' of my labor...
